Wage Range that the Company Expects to Pay:

• Medical Assistant I: $22.50 - $24.81 per hour
• Medical Assistant II (Certified or Registered): $24.00 – $26.46 per hour
• Medical Assistant for San Luis Obispo or Cambria: $25.00 - $27.56 per hour

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients. This role includes various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient flow and support the overall functioning of the clinic.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Proven experience working in a medical setting
- Solid understanding of medical terminology
- Knowledge of medical procedures, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all compliance regulations

**Responsibilities:**
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record patient vital signs
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and orderliness
- Perform basic laboratory procedures and tests
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Assist with patient education and medication management
- Schedule patient appointments and handle patient inquiries
- Maintain electronic health records accurately and securely
- Handle administrative tasks like billing, insurance verification, and medical coding
- Uphold compliance with all regulations and guidelines for healthcare practices
